After having missed the first 60 days of the season due to a domestic violence suspension, SS Jose Reyes made his return to the field with Triple A Albuquerque. He also made it known that Trevor Story was in his way.
“The only thing I control right now is being here and trying to get ready as soon as possible,” Reyes told a pool of reporters, “in the Isotopes dugout before a game against Fresno on Wednesday night. “I know Trevor has been doing an unbelievable job. That’s good to see. When you see a baseball player as a young man come to the big leagues and perform the way he is, that’s good to see.”
In an online poll to fans, 96% (909 votes) of 941 respondants wanted Story to stay as the starter.
